Ning Hao graduated from the Art Department of Beijing Normal University and the Photography Department of Beijing Film Academy. 2009, the film "Silver Medalist" directed by him achieved box office results of over 100 million yuan. This made Ning Tao the fourth mainland director to enter the 100 million yuan club after Zhang Yimou, Chen Kaige, and Feng Xiaogang.
