Composed of six unconventional vignettes, each one dealing with the late communist period in Romania, a narrative is told through its urban myths from the perspective of ordinary people. The title refers to the alluded "Golden Age" of the last 15 years of Ceaușescu's regime.

Ink Wash
Seeking shelter in her work from the pain of a breakup, Lena, a painter turning 40, is commissioned to decorate a brutalist luxury hotel nestled in the depths of the Romanian forest. There, where the Danube ends its course in seemingly miraculous springs, Lena’s moral views are confronted with an overwhelmingly corrupted community.
Postspectacle at Mall
The Candidate managed to appear in the AFI Palace Mall Bucharest anniversary program. The PR loved the Candidate's virtuous modern dance fake videos, and that he performs for free, for exposure. Once there, the show was perpetually postponed, a priest was invited to bless the space, an expert that made a comparison between the malls architecture and nazist architecture… Slowly some of the mall staff got angry, although caught in the paradox of the show being officially invited by them. In the end the police came and the Candidate was kicked out. But it was a glorious postspectacle evening anyway. Before the Candidate, little dancers from the National Opera performed ballet variations. Acrobats and famous romanian bands were due to follow the Candidate, and last but not least there was a raffle "with prizes for everyone". (2010)
