The whole story develops from the doctor Martha, who has worked for 40 years, always at the same clinic in Rio de Janeiro. She knows Cris and realizes that she has found a successor. Then begins the friendship of the two, who try to practice their profession with the utmost ethics, despite the owner of the clinic, who is always trying to say, save.

The story of the rivalry between the twin sisters Ruth and Raquel takes place in the fictional Pontal D'Areia, on the coast of Rio de Janeiro. They have very different personalities. Ruth is sweet, calm and has a good heart. Raquel, on the other hand, is selfish, aggressive and mean.

Owner of the Story

A 50 year-old woman who analyses her past. She pictures herself when she was 20 years old and she re-creates the story of her life through a game of innumerous possibilities. What if she wouldn't have gone to that ball? What if... instead of meeting the man of her life, with whom she married and had kids, she would have called a girlfriend and they went to the theater? What would be her destiny? What would have happened? In the plot the present talks to the past. A young woman projects her future in a fascinating game between memories and desires.

Raticide

On a night like so many others, indistinguishable from the previous or the next, Carlos sees himself thrown out of his bedroom. Beyond his own door, a rat has taken over his belongings, without a courtesy call or warning. This is the second work by João Niza Ribeiro screened at Curtas.

In a humorous way, the film narrates the adventures - or misadventures - of a typical girl from the south of Rio de Janeiro who decides to go to the beach, but her car won't start. Having decided, she goes on the bus and gets into a thousand messes.
