Denmark’s Radio Mercur became the first commercial offshore radio station to broadcast in Europe when it began transmitting from the ship Cheeta in international waters near Copenhagen in 1958. Inspired by true events, its journey from bold beginnings to eventual decline is now being reimagined through following the story of a group of passionate music enthusiasts. Their mission was to challenge the state-run radio monopoly by delivering fresh pop and rock ’n’ roll sounds to a youthful audience eager for new music.

Jul i Valhal is a Danish television advent calendar. It first aired in the December 2005 on TV 2 Denmark television station, on TV 2 Norway in December 2006 and in December 2007 on the Swedish Barnkanalen. In 2008 it is being aired in Finland on Yle2. As a television advent calendar, it has 24 episodes, and one new episode was aired per day from December 1 to December 24. Jul i Valhal is primarily about two children named Jonas and Sofie, and their adventures with the Norse gods.

In a Copenhagen suburb the 19-year-old Per is found unconscious after having been badly beaten up. He is taken to hospital in a coma. The police have no clues, but the air is thick with suspicion.
