A story about women, set in the present and in 1950s Warsaw. Sabina, a quiet, shy woman who has just turned thirty lacks a man in her life. Her mother knows all about it and tries at all costs to find her daughter a good candidate for a husband. The whole situation is controlled by the grandmother, an eccentric lady with a sharp tongue from whom no secrets can be kept.

The Death of Captain Pilecki

Captain Witold Pilecki was a Polish intelligence officer during WWII who volunteered for a Polish resistance operation to get imprisoned in the German Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in order to gather intelligence and enable the Polish government-in-exile to inform the allies about the ongoing Holocaust in occupied Poland. The film also tells the story of Witold Pilecki’s fate at the hands of the Communist government after the end of WWII. The film is a reconstruction of the trial which took place in Warsaw during the communist regime in Poland. Captain Pilecki described his investigation as more cruel than his stay at Auschwitz.

Kryminalni

Kryminalni was a Polish crime drama television series that aired on TVN network from September 18, 2004 until May 24, 2008. It ran for 8 seasons and 101 episodes were broadcast in total. It was created by Polish director and screenwriter Piotr Wereśniak and produced by MTL Maxfilm studio. The series followed life and work of police officers from the elite Criminal Terror and Murders Division of the Warsaw Metropolitan Police; the title refers to police officers in the crime section. The three main characters were Adam Zawada, an experienced, tough cup, his younger colleague Marek Brodecki and Barbara Storosz, an ambitious female officer who in the first season joins the team just after graduating. Although none of the main actors had had star status before the series debuted, all three of them rose to prominence and popularity during the 5-year-long run. Many of Poland's best known actors guest starred, usually playing roles of people involved in just one particular investigation. The serial was one of the most popular in Poland: each week it had an audience of 4 million.

Nędzarz i madame

The artistic and spiritual journey of a Polish January insurgent, artist-painter and benefactor of the poor - Adam Chmielowski, who, after years of turbulent youth, decides to abandon his former life and the world gets to know him as Brother Albert. His rebellious nature and disagreement with evil and suffering cause him to escape by a trick from Tsarist captivity hidden in a coffin. After achieving fame, he abandons art to serve the people. His tragic fate is crowned by a breakdown, expulsion from the Jesuit order and confinement in a mental institution. However, he was soon reborn and returned, as Brother Albert - a future saint. The film's story of his life is complemented by the fates of his famous friends and artists - Helena Modrzejewska and Jozef Chelmonski.

The hero of this perverse comedy is Jerzy, a completely incurable romantic, who finds the love of his life in the voice coming from the navigation system in his car. Jerzy is a gadget-head, and loves all kinds of electronic devices – he gives them names, and then talks to them. This makes him fall in love with Carmen – the voice from his car-navigation system.

The General - Attempt at Gibraltar

The film presents the last days of Gen. Sikorski, right before the Gibraltar catastrophe. The commander is accompanied by his daughter Zofia and a group of closest collaborators. They are all guests in the palace of the Governor of Gibraltar, Mason Macfarlane, who is supposed to persuade Sikorski to give back documents on the murder of Polish officers in Katyn. When Sikorski refuses, a plan of attempt on his life comes into action. Who stood behind it? Who executed it and how? Was Zofia on board of Liberator too?
