Biography
Piero Natoli (1947 – 2001) was an Italian actor, director and screenwriter. A dedicated independent filmmaker for over twenty years (he described himself as "the only legit indie filmmaker in Italy") with little-to-no recognition, he found greater success later in life as a character actor in mainstream comedy films, especially Carlo Verdone's "Compagni di scuola" (1988), Paolo Virzì's "Ferie d'agosto" (1996), and Gabriele Muccino's "The Last Kiss" (2001).
