My Date with a Vampire
My Date with a Vampire is a 1998 Hong Kong television series produced by ATV. The story is based on the future events of the plot of Vampire Expert, a similar two-season television drama aired on ATV in 1995 and 1996. It blends aspects of the jiangshi with those of western vampires, while injecting elements of Chinese mythology and modern horror legends. The series is a tribute to Lam Ching-ying, the lead actor of Vampire Expert and a prominent cast member in the Mr. Vampire franchise, who died of liver cancer in 1997. It was followed by My Date with a Vampire II (2000) and My Date with a Vampire III (2004).
The Justice of Life
After the death of his fiancee (Pauline Yeung), triad legend Ming Tin (Alex Man) washes his hands of the underworld, retreating to a quiet life running a small mahjong parlor. He originally disavowed himself of romance as well, but two very different women (Tanny Tien and Teresa Mo) wander into his life. Ming Tin lives with his mother (Lee Heung Kam), uncle (Ng Man Tat), and cousin Gam Sui (Stephen Chow). Ming Tin and Gam Sui are as close as brothers, but Gam Sui's father has a grudge against Ming Tin, leading to many barbs and bickers in this odd family. The Last Duel
Suen makes a living by selling fish-balls and being a nice likeable guy. One day he accidentally gets caught up in a police chase where a pregnant woman gets killed. The next door neighbour is a pretty woman (Rosamund Kwan) who Suen starts to like. Unfortunately it turns out that she has a boyfriend and guess who it is? Yes, it is the dirty cop that framed Suen! Their conflict keep escalating until it starts to turn deadly and it all ends in a last duel!
Bullet Brain
The story is set in the 1960s Hong Kong. The sincere Ko Tai Hei smuggles to Hong Kong, where his father's good friend Kam Lo Yik recommended him to join the police force. One time, he had an accident and got shot in the head. Pieces of the bullet went into his brain cells and oddly increased his IQ significantly. Since then, Hei turned into an intelligent detective capable of cracking down strange cases. However, his personality changed as well, turning him into a cold-hearted person who will do things by unscrupulous means.
Police Cadet
Police Cadet '84 was a TV series which included such stars in TVB as Tony Leung, Maggie Cheung, and notably, Carina Lau. The story centered on a couple of young "cadets" in the Police Cadet School. Tragedy, romance, conflicts, and intrigues were featured. The series was immediately followed by a sequels titled "New Police Cadet '85" and "New Police Cadet '88". Both sequels stars Tony Leung.
