Biography
Rei Sakuma (佐久間 レイ, Sakuma Rei, January 5, 1965) is a Japanese seiyū (voice actress), actress and singer born in Setagaya, Tokyo. Her real name is Reiko Sakuma (佐久間 玲子, Sakuma Reiko). Her blood group is B and she is 158 cm tall. She is affiliated with Ookina. She debuted in the entertainment industry in 1982 on NHK's Let's Go Young under the name Rei Sakuma (佐久間麗, Sakuma Rei). During her idol days, she was affiliated with Saiga Kikaku (才賀企画), but in late 1983 she transferred to the agency Bond Kikaku and changed her stage name to Rei Sakuma (佐久間 レ イ). In February 1983, she made her record debut with Hamidashi Tenshi and she appeared on NHK Let's Go Young as a member of the Sundays. In 1985, she debuted as a voice actress playing the role of Pias in the TV anime Dream Star Button Nose. After that, she started working as a voice actress. She was also represented by 81 Produce and, since 2018, by her own agency Ookina.
