Native American, of Comanche, Cree and Yaqui descent. Native name is Tee-Dee-Nae. Previously worked at construction jobs. Was selected from a general casting call to play the leading role of Jaguar Paw in the film Apocalypto (2006) by director Mel Gibson. Learned the Yucatec Maya language for his role in Apocalypto (2006). A Native dancer who has performed with the American Indian Dance Theater.
