The Bonfire of Taiwan

Tien-Fu Liu, a tycoon who is well connected in politics and business, and his son, Won-Tsung Liu, have been buying and selling large amounts of illicit drugs. Cheng-Hsien Lee (a police officer of Criminal Investigation Division) is instructed by his superior officer, Yao-Wei Lee (Chief of No. 1 Team of Criminal Investigation Division), to be an undercover to investigate the illegal activities of Tien-Fu Liu and Cheng Long Group. In the police's effort to crack down on Cheng Long Group, several policemen and policewomen shed their blood; however, Cheng Long Group, with great ties in politics and business through money, is not so easy to be destroyed. In the process, Cheng-Hsien found out that Tien-Fu Liu was the person who killed his father. In the meantime, another serious crime takes place and Cheng-Hsien, who has been utterly devoted to his job, immediately engages in a battle with the criminals so as to defend justice against evil and injustice. Taipei 24H

Taipei 24H divides 24 hours in Taipei into 8 shorts. It opens with Cheng Fen-fen's upbeat and comedic "Share the Morning", and ends with Lee Kang-sheng running the final leg of this relay with "Remembrance" at 4am. Well-known director Tsai Ming-liang makes a rare appearance visiting a late night coffee shop. Taipei 24H is a contemporary urban chronicle of a city rarely at sleep.

The Reunion

The memories on the taste buds, are those of growing up, of life, of past recollection, of families. In a sultry morning, on the top floor of an old apartment building in downtown Taipei, where a private kitchen is about to open, the female owner Li Xin-Yue has gone missing, abandoning the male owner of the private kitchen, her boyfriend Ji Wei-Ran, along with the unorganized storefront. In the old town area of Tainan, the roof of the old family Li mansion gets hit by a gusty wind, blowing away a piece of tile and leaving a hole on the rooftop. The wind follows through the hole, blowing into the Li’s, launching an upcoming family storm. The three sons of the Li who live separately have all returned. As they debate about the repair work, the conflicts hidden among their relationships start to surface.

Never Disappear

In a village called Tai-gia-ha lived a well-known and romantic fool. People called him "Yao". People in the village worried about him. They worried that who could take care of him forever and whom he got to spend his life with. Even so, he somehow owned lots of stories with someone. In an evening three months ago, Yao got lost because he ran an errand for his dad to buy him tofu pudding for his childhood's sweetheart. For these months without Yao, Xia and Shuei have lived in the contradiction and self-blaming of reuniting each other and losing Yao. In the meantime, Yao met a troupe director named "bearded man". In the end, how did Yao, seemingly growing up in one night after leaving his home, get back to Tai-gia-ha?
