A patch is something commonly used to cover a hole in a dress. Valerio Lundini is a Roman surrealist comedian, who is called every night to replace a programme that, for various reasons, cannot go on air -- he basically puts "a patch" in a TV schedule. But can he?

On an island in the middle of the ocean, inhabited by nine elderly people, including the ancient wizard Lucanòr, no one remembers what children are. One day, however, a boat carrying a group of helpless shipwrecked children arrives on this piece of land surrounded by the sea. Will the children manage to gain respect? Who will help them?

Mr. Rorret is the owner of a cinema called "The Peeping Tom" which shows a constant stream of horror films. Rorret dates women from the audience and then kills them, taking sadistic pleasure from their expressions of terror. This film is apparently a well-filmed homage to "Peeping Tom", with nods to "Psycho" and "Strangers on a Train".

We follow it as it moves between the natural and the artificial, from rocky hermitages to overcrowded contemporary cities, to the stratosphere where we meet Gaia, the creature that breathes cosmic air and feeds on the Universe. The winds are her circulatory system and protect us until, quoting the Apocalypse of John, the four angels close the mouth of the winds.
