Siberia, 1916-1917. Bolshevik Pyotr Sapozhkov is engaged in revolutionary propaganda and agitation in a small Siberian town after the end of his exile. He is assisted by his wife Varya. After the February Revolution, the Bolshevik party is still outlawed, Pyotr and Varya go into hiding and face arrest. The guards manage to capture their son Timu and the boy is taken to an orphanage.

Courage School

The First Courier

She meets the Bulgarian Ivan Zagubanski and gives him two suitcases with false bottoms, which contain a secret consignment of the latest issue of a newspaper. About the young, courageous revolutionary Ivan Zagubanski, who was one of the first couriers to bring Iskra from abroad. The film showed an ideological, moral clash of people preparing a revolution with the guardians of the royal order.

Summer Vacations Time
Engineer-geologist Svetlana Panyshko in the far northern land dreams of summer, southern sky and warm sea, but instead of vacation she is forced to take into her own hands unprofitable oil field in order not to let down her comrades and fulfill the plan.

The Shield and the Sword

Alexander Belov is a Russian spy, who travels from Soviet-held Latvia to Nazi Germany under an alias of Johann Weiss. His mastery of the German language, steel nerves and an ability to manipulate others help him to use his connections in the SS to ascend the ladder of the German intelligence. He uses his position to identify sympathetic Germans, who help him to procure vital intelligence, and to help local resistance movements in their collective fight against Nazism.
