Biography
Egyptian actress Sherifa Mahear was born in 1932 in the Cairo neighborhood, Helwan. She graduated from a French high school and was discovered by the prominent Egyptian singer and musician Mohamed Abdel Wahab, who signed her on for a three year contract. She went on to work in cinema, appearing as both a singer and an actress. Mahear is best known for playing an an aristocratic woman and for her roles in the films: “Irham Dmoo’y” (Pity my Tears), “Karamet Zawgaty” (My Wife’s Dignity), Aaz El Habayeb" (Dearest Beloveds), and “El Masir” (Destiny).
