Biography
Sif Einarsdotter Ruud was a Swedish stage and screen actress, and theatre pedagogue. She graduated from the Royal Dramatic Theatre's acting school in 1937 and made her film debut in Sigurd Wallén's "Kloka gubben" (1938). Sif Ruud performed at severaltheatres before she was to become a member of the ensemble at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. Over the years, she has received a substantial number of awards for her acting skills and knowledge of the world of theatre.

Wild Strawberries
Crotchety retired doctor Isak Borg travels from Stockholm to Lund, Sweden, with his pregnant and unhappy daughter-in-law, Marianne, in order to receive an honorary degree from his alma mater. Along the way, they encounter a series of hitchhikers, each of whom causes the elderly doctor to muse upon the pleasures and failures of his own life. These include the vivacious young Sara, a dead ringer for the doctor's own first love.

A story about a boy named Anders, who lives in an ordinary Swedish family in an apartment at the train station. Through his childhood, he experiences life's glorious scents of beautiful flowers and green forest, close and warm relationships with his grandparents and joyful play with his siblings. Hemsöborna
Carlsson arrives at the widow Flod's farm in the Stockholm archipelago to help in the running of it. He is met with resistance by the widow's jealous son Gusten who is more interested in fishing than farming. When it is decided to hire out some houses for summer guests from the city the equilibrium is disturbed.

Crime and Punishment
Former student Raskolnikov is pushed to murder when struggling to pay the rent on his apartment. When the murder is being investigated by the police, Raskolnikov struggles between trying to hide his guilt and the pressure to confess.
