Guttman X 5
Five short movies, linked by an animation, inspired by the life and work of Amos Guttman, the director from Transylvania who was a pioneer in Israeli gay cinema and died from AIDS in 1993. Produced by Tel Aviv Film Festival, it is a mixture of different styles and genres and is directed by six film-makers. In the last moving episode Kati Guttman celebrates his son, who passed away twenty years ago, and also recalls for the first time his own deportation to the Nazi death camps.
Life According To Agfa
The film takes place in Tel Aviv, much of it in a fictitious local pub called Barbie, a satirical nickname for a famous Israeli mental health institution. The pub's name hints at the characters and the events which occur in the pub and which befall its owner (Daliah), the employees and customers. The plot unfolds with a streak of violence which takes a surprising turn.
The Exchange Principle
A police forensics officer, traumatized by the horrors he has seen and processed, leaves his job, wife and son and lives on the streets as a homeless wanderer. Try as he does he is unable to completely forget the past and finds himself in a struggle to unlock its secrets and see that justice is done.

The Passport
A man, who becomes mistaken for his brother who was immigrating to Israel from USSR, finds himself caught up in the middle of a bureaucratic mess when he realizes that if he tells the truth about who he is, he will go to jail and his brother's family will never be allowed to leave the USSR. He therefore assumes his brother's identity to get to Israel hoping his distant uncle living there will help him out. The plan backfires, however, when he realizes that the uncle is a paranoid lunatic thinking the KGB is out to get him. He becomes stranded in Israel with no friends, no money, and no passport, trying to figure out a way to get back home.

After the death of their mother, Thomas and his sister Mariana leave their hometown for a brighter future in the city. They become patrons of a marginal bar in Tel Aviv, Bar 51, whose regulars serve as a backdrop for Thomas’s obsessive love for his sister, and her desire to break free and make a life of her own.

Distortion
Everyday life in Israel during the "Intifada": suicide-attacks, distresses, tensions. A director must present a new theater play but he just can't write a line. His partner, a documentary filmmaker, is preparing the portrait of a former soldier who opened a trade but went into bankruptcy. This man is ruined, his wife has left home, his son got exiled to Australia. The director, desperate, believes that hiring a private detective to follow his wife is gonna put some salt in his life. Without knowing it, the detective becomes the real director of the play which is getting written step by step.
