Three poor men who have lost their jobs decide to swindle a wealthy Greek-American who returns to his homeland in search of his nephew.

Welcome Dollar
Philip (Giorgos Constantinou), a shy and dignified accountant and English teacher, lives with his mother (Zoli Garbi) and his two siblings in the same house. His and his mother's meager income, just enough to support them all. His younger brother (Alekos Tzanetakos) remains unemployed and lazy rather out of conscience, while his older brother, Kimon (Orpheus Zachos), dreams of being re-elected prefect and refuses, although a qualified accountant, to work, considering the positions demeaning and irrelevant offered to him. His tragic financial situation will be further burdened by their imminent forced move to another house. It is also the first color Greek film, edited entirely in Greece. It is based on the play "The 6th American Fleet" by Alek Sakellarios and Christos Giannakopoulos, who also wrote the screenplay, while Sakellarios directed the film.

The child of the square
An unemployed man (Kostas Chatzichristos), prone to endless amusements, economically sucks his uncle (Periklis Christoforidis) in order to satisfy his desires. His despair, when his uncle decides to stop the economic benefits, will lead him to sell some furniture of the house. He sells four armchairs and then he learns that in one of them were hidden precious jewels of the aunt. He looks desperately to find and to get them back, but he only discovers three of them, and in these there is no trace of jewelry. To find the fourth and lucky one, whose traces are completely ignored, he accepts partnered with a friend (Takis Christoforidis). He is transformed into an organized, consistent and good working man, and falls in love with his sister's partner (Stella Stratigou) and discovers that the fourth chair was held by his uncle, who set up this whole story to motivate him and make him active.

Mimikos and Mary
The tragic story of a couple that upset Athenian society at the end of the 19th century. Michail Mimikos (Andreas Barkoulis) is a doctor in the Greek army, and Mary Weber (Aliki Vougiouklaki) is an upper-class girl. The two want to get married, but Mary’s parents want her to marry a rich man. When Mimikos leaves abruptly for Nauplion for professional reasons, he writes her a letter which she never gets, leading to tragic consequences...

The Child of the Street
A girl, Vassula, learns shortly before marrying her lover, Richard, that the alleged father is actually her uncle. The latter, when the natural daughter died, presented the event as the death of his adoptive daughter. The mother of the girl is still alive and will accompany her to church with her true father.

Uncle Giannis, the Potter
Barba Giannis the potter tries to match Krinio with the wealthy Alexandros Harisis. Her mother Margarou and her uncle Platon feel very lucky, but Krinio is in love with Loukas and can no longer bear her mother's pressure.
