Tropenjaren is a comedy about the whirlwind of new parenthood and a former life that’s gone for good. When Jelle and his wife Rosa welcome their first child, a new chapter unfolds. The young parents strive to do their best for their daughter Stella while also trying to keep their work lives and relationship as lively and ambitious as ever. Nights out and parties, however, quickly give way to diapers and babysitters. In short, the couple is gearing up for the tropenjaren—the intense early years of parenting.

Basically, LUBACH will probably be very similar to De Avondshow with Arjen Lubach. The presenter also discusses current affairs in his characteristic, humorous way in this satirical late night show. With sharp monologues, in-depth stories and playful sketches, he and his team examine politics, media and society. All this is interspersed with changing guests, music and of course a good dose of comedy.

This Is Not a Christmas Movie

In the run-up to Christmas, a family completely misses the point in trying to be good. Brechtje, the mother of the family, gets cancelled by everyone, without understanding why. Her husband, Martijn, falls in love with his younger colleague, but true love can’t be denied (or so he thinks). Justus, the son-in-law, gets lost on a Don Quichotesque quest for his masculinity. While Jos, the middle child, changes the world around with her tolerance and open mindedness – until her girlfriend wants to have a threesome. And all of that happens just before their annual Christmas dinner.
