Why did the local gas station attendant sell her gasoline even though it was known that she was an arsonist? Which lock does this key fit into? Local policeman Lars Klapproth might be able to contribute to solving the case, but he does not. Because Lars is the father of Maria's missing daughter Matilde. He had made the toddler disappear with the help of GDR state agencies during the reunification period. When Maria, who had fled the republic, returned to get her daughter shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Matilde had already been adopted and could not be found.

When the police are called in, it finally turns out that it is actually Michelle who was kidnapped by her current mother, Ruth, who now offers her a well-protected home. A world collapses not only for the daughter, who suddenly no longer knows where she belongs, but also for two families at the same time a lot changes and an emotional roller coaster ride begins with an uncertain outcome.

Another German Tank Story

A crew from the U.S. intends to film a war drama at an abandoned sugar factory on the remote outskirts of a German city, making the nearby town, which had been a pool of stagnant water, seem to come to life. The residents are excited, each making their own little plans, until a tank pulls up in front of the mayor's house and a sudden power outage disrupts all plans.
