Biography
Born January 26, 1955 in Taiwan under the name Suen Jian-yuan, Sun Chien (Chinese: 孫建) lost both parents while young and was brought up by his two sisters. In 1976, director Chang Cheh was recruiting new stars in Taiwan for the movie Chinatown Kid. Tae kwon do veteran Sun was selected among many competitors and was given the supporting role in the movie. Sun since developed his career in Hong Kong (notably as one of the 5 Venoms) and signed as a contract actor with Shaw Brothers for eight years. Being one of "Chang's Cohorts," he often starred in the director's action and martial arts movies. After Shaw Brothers ceased film production in 1986 to focus on TV projects, Sun lent his talents to subpar "cut-and-paste" productions for producer Tomas Tang's Filmark International. In the early 90s he served as an action director and assistant director on several films before retiring in 1992.

Instant Rage
The heirs to a major corporation are being brutally killed off one by one, and John Lee, the company's chairman, suspects that a mafia takeover is behind it. But, before he can uncover any evidence, he too is savagely murdered. Carol, his daughter and a friend, Brian Roberts, continue the investigation where he left off while police Captain Roberts follow up on a few suspicions of his own. The actions become explosive and deadly when they are attacked by ruthless, ninja assassins who try to prevent them from finding out who the maniacal, cold blooded killer is inside the company.
Pursuit of a Killer
This is one of those -"who did it" -murder movies put out by Shaw Brothers. In this one, a bunch of Mainlanders come to Hong Kong for a better life. Instead, these Mainlanders are jobless and wind up killing, robbing, and selling drugs for a Dai Lo. Tired of getting chicken scratch from their Dai Lo for all the work they've done, the Mainlanders (about 4 or 5) decide to do a big job for themselves by trying to rob a jewelry store. The heist goes awry with all the Mainlanders being apprehended by the HKRP. They all to go to jail and do their time and get discharged. Once out, the Mainlanders are getting "rubbed off" one by one and the HKRP do not have a clue. Luckily, one member, Yeh Hung (Lo Meng), of the Mainlander gang is still in jail who still has time. So, Inspector Wong (Jason Pai Piao) decides to cut Yeh Hung loose and let him walk the streets as bait to bring the killer out.

The Magnificent Ruffians

Yun Fei Yang is the viciously bullied orphan who takes on the unpleasant tasks at a formidable kung-fu school. Constantly mocked by the other students of the school, Yen counts as his only friend the daughter of the resident master. Any internal wrangling between the various members is put to one side when a swordsman from a rival clan reminds the master of the duel he must take part in once a decade. Unfortunately the defending clan chief is well aware that his rival is more powerful than himself. The expected defeat is further complicated when a wandering swordsman arrives on the scene and joins himself to the injured party, immediately adding to Yen's woes.

The Daredevils
The General's son Yang escapes a massacre at his home that subsequently sees a corrupt, criminal syndicate in charge of the local forces. The quartet try to convince him to bide his time, but the young avenger sneaks into his former home and, after a battle against a few top fighters, is killed by their leader. When Yang's friends discover his tragic fate, they devise a way of defeating the killers without having to face their mighty army directly.
