Murphy Brown
Murphy Brown (Candice Bergen) is a recovering alcoholic who returns to the fictional newsmagazine FYI for the first time following a stay at the Betty Ford Clinic residential treatment center. Over 40 and single, she is sharp tongued and hard as nails. In her profession, she is considered one of the boys, having shattered many glass ceilings encountered during her career. Dominating the FYI news magazine, she is portrayed as one of America's hardest-hitting (though not the warmest or more sympathetic) media personalities.
Deadly Intentions
Katherine married Dr. Charles Raynor. She later discovers that Raynor is a sadist who torments her physically and mentally. She divorces him and take their child away. He then decides to kill her but when his plot is discovered he is charged with attempted murder and brought to trial.
Miracles
Jean and Roger decide to divorce after 10 years, but 12 hours later, they're together again by accident. Their cars collide, swerving to miss Juan, the jaywalking jewel thief who decides to cash in on the crash. The ex-couple are kidnapped, shot at, cast adrift, mistaken for smugglers and even survive a plane crash. But the toughest torture these two endure is being trapped together.
