Tarek Abdelaziz was an Egyptian actor. He's appeared in many films made by graduates of the High Cinema Institute. He began acting in university stage productions in 1986. He acted in a few theater troupes, including one called Haraka and another called Al Wersha with Hassan Al Gareetly. Abdelaziz graduated from law school in 1991.

The show deals with the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt’s largest Islamist political group, which was officially banned but nonetheless tolerated to an extent before the revolution.
