The episodes of the series are self-contained, and in each one we watch simple everyday stories, such as marriage, children, entertainment, buying a car, holidays, and everything related to family. THEN AND NOW has many comical and ethnographic elements, combining laughter with emotion and highlighting the differences and similarities between two eras through the lives of two couples.
