Blind Justice

On New Year's Eve, the convicted murderer, Strong Henry, escapes from prison and collects his son from the orphanage. When he breaks into a local manor to get some milk for his child, he is surprised by a young woman, Eva. Out of pity, she decides to help the stranger, but unfortunately some of the manor's other occupants wake up and call the police. Fourteen years later, Henry is released from prison. Convinced that Eva betrayed him, he sets out to take revenge and find his son.

The Love of a Gypsy Girl

A female ‘gypsy’ – in the parlance of the time – must choose between helping her own camp or a kidnapped girl. The woman once fell in love with the local count. However, without hesitation, the count left her heartbroken for a rich aristocratic girl who seduced him. Years later, the count refuses to pay alms to the gypsy camp, so a couple of desperate gypsies decide to kidnap his five-year-old daughter. Marcus Bloomer, a district attorney, receives a divine revelation the night before he is to sentence a young man to death. The herald of the revelation takes the form of Bloomer’s former sweetheart Reine, who shows him the greatest mistake of his life: twenty years ago, Bloomer chose his career over Reine, who birthed a fatherless child.
