The protagonists of the film, chekists Sasha Sizov and Ivan Shagin, take the confiscated jewels out of the city captured by the White Guards and deliver them to Kiev. A Private Person
Colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Lukyanov, is going on vacation with his wife to a resort town, where his old friend, Major Alekseev, a local police officer, lives. When they meet, the old friends agree to catch up the next day, but Alekseev seems worried about something he needs to finish. That night, Alekseev goes on a mission alone, during which he is hit by a car. When Lukyanov hears about it, he offers his help to the local police as a private individual, feeling it is his duty to find out the circumstances of his friend's death. The colonel will have to determine whether it was a deliberate murder or an accident.

For several years as a terrible sea monster drowns ships of the Navy. In a small number of ships that managed to survive, in the sides were found huge holes triangular shape. Now any exit to the sea is deadly, so America sends a special frigate called Blue Star. His goal is to find and destroy the terrible monster. One of the participants of the punitive expedition is a famous Professor from France – Pierre Aronnax. He has a deep knowledge of the mysteries of the deep sea. After an unsuccessful battle with the monster ship goes to the bottom, and the Professor, his servant Conseil and whaler Ned Land get on a submarine and make an amazing journey under water.
