Hiipivä vaara
A man mixed up in suspicious activity is murdered in the studio of photographer Ilmari Lavio. At the same time a charming woman has entered the studio, but Lavio does not want to report her to the police. The photographer begins to follow the beauty who calls herself Soile Mäntymaa and through her traces a league of spies.

Kyökin puolella
A romantic story about a rich girl, who is not used to household work, charms many men while working in the "Haukka" manor. The reason for this undercover work is a bet. Despite being a bad cook she soon becomes attracted to engineer Karma.

Here, Beneath the North Star
Täällä Pohjantähden alla is based on the book with the same title. It is a story of the little village. The movie starts in the 1890's and it ends to the Finnish civil war in 1918. Story concentrates around a tenant farmer family, although it gives us a good look at the society at whole. While the class struggle depends, people of the village are driven to bloody civil war.

The Clan: Tale of the Frogs
Young Alex Sammakko has seen his brothers defy the law in a series of deeds that first land them in jail, and then, after they escape and return to their rural home, land them back in the lap of their locally notorious family. Alex wants nothing to do with them. He is in love with Mirja, whose family is not that different from the Sammakko's, but who shares Alex's viewpoints and feelings. Not helping matters is a police department convinced that all Sammakkos are bad, and the family itself, pressuring Alex to follow in their murky footsteps.

After a robbery, a gang of bandits led by Kulaus-Ramperi flees Helsinki on the Kuopio express train "Lentävä kalakukko" and tries to hide in the crowded train filled with music and singing. The cheerful conductor Saastamoinen protects the motley crew traveling on the train.
