From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Werner Peters (7 July 1918 – 30 March 1971) was a German film actor. He appeared in 102 films between 1947 and 1971. Peters was born in Werlitzsch, Kreis Delitzsch, Prussian Saxony, and died of a heart attack on a promotion tour for his latest film in Wiesbaden, Germany. His film career started with the lead in Wolfgang Staudte's Der Untertan, produced in the young German Democratic Republic. Peters then worked in West-Germany, appearing mostly in supporting roles in popular movies. He also established himself in the European and international film industry by frequently playing sinister German or Nazi characters. American Mark Jason is stranded in Southeast Asia and works there as a teacher. One day, he finds diamonds worth several million dollars in his apartment. Jason quickly succumbs to the temptation to keep the treasure stashed here by the previous tenant for himself rather than handing it in to the police. When his Asian servant, who witnessed Jason's find, is found murdered, the teacher comes under suspicion of having disposed of him. Now Jason has the local police on his tail after all, and he has to flee. The American is accompanied by his Asian girlfriend, Nhan Lee Quon. The local police inspector Gonsart is extremely keen to catch Jason and hunts him down without mercy.

Das Kriminalmuseum
Das Kriminalmuseum was a German television series. It ran from 1963 to 1970 on ZDF and was one of its first programs. Each episode began with a tracking shot through an unspecified crime museum, stopping at one of the displays, whose story was then told. Each episode was between 60 and 75 minutes long and featured different actors as the criminal commissioner. The best known was Erik Ode, who in 1969 moved to Der Kommissar, appearing in 97 episodes. The theme music of the series was written by German composer Martin Böttcher, who also composed the complete scores for five episodes.

This film is set in a medieval mill town in the Harz mountains. The greedy and brutal millman and his accomplices, the castle steward and the mayor, set fire to a forest mill that the farmers used for processing their grain. Without their mill, the farmers must now rely on the millman's services. When the farmhand Anna uncovers the millman’s crimes, he swiftly detains her and a young miller, Jörg. The forest spirits have a different plan, however, and they free the young couple with the charge to rebuild the ruined forest mill and turn things around for the villagers.
