The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson is a series of five films produced by Lenfilm for the Soviet Central Television, split into eleven episodes, starring Vasily Livanov as Sherlock Holmes and Vitaly Solomin as Dr. Watson. They were directed by Igor Maslennikov and filmed in Russia (the then Soviet Union) between 1979 and 1986, and the series was one of the most successful in the history of Russian television.
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson: Bloody Inscription
Holmes receives a message from Inspector Gregson about a strange case in an abandoned house on Brixton Road: the body of an elderly American was found there, and the word "Revenge" is written in blood on the wall.
Three Fat Men
Based on a famous fairytale by Yuri Olesha. A fairy tale film about the clever tightrope walker Tibule, who fights alongside the armorer Prospero and all the working people against the tyrants, the three Fat Men, who rule the state until the young heir Tutti comes of age. The freedom fighters are aided by the kind Dr. Gaspar and the brave acrobat girl Suok, who has to pretend to be a doll to sneak into the palace and free Prospero.
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson

The film consists of two parts and was filmed based on the story "The Speckled Band" (1st part "The Acquaintance") and the novella "A Study in Scarlet" (beginning of the 1st part and the 2nd part "Bloody Inscription").
The Adventures of Prince Florisel

Dauria
A chronicle of life in a small village in the Baikal Region on the eve of World War I and at the time of the October Revolution. The main hero is the young Cossack Roman Ulybin. At first, this carefree daredevil is preoccupied only with one problem: whether his sweetheart, Dashutka, is to marry him or a merchant’s son, Alyoshka. Roman is killing time fist-fighting with his rival. But little by little, the young man realizes that the world around him has changed, that people are fighting for equality and social justice, and, being a real Cossack, he can’t remain on the sidelines…

Former student Raskolnikov is pushed to murder when struggling to pay the rent on his apartment. When the murder is being investigated by the police, Raskolnikov struggles between trying to hide his guilt and the pressure to confess.
Tchaikovsky
The film is dedicated to the great Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky (1840-1893). It tells of the last twenty years of the great master’s life, of his friendship with Baroness von Meck, an outstanding woman of her time, who for many years was Tchaikovsky’s guardian angel. The film also includes retrospections of the composer’s childhood and adolescent years, with Tchaikovsky’s life poetically recounted against the background of fragments from his operas and ballets performed by the best Russian musicians.
The Serf Actress
Batmanova, once a serf, sets Paris aflame with her singing and now returns to the court of the Prince in 19th-century Russia. The Prince wants Batmanova for himself, but she loves a young nobleman who is technically still a serf because his papers have been lost.
Eugene Onegin
