Biography
Yoosuf Shafeeu, a prominent Maldivian film actor, editor, writer, and director, has received numerous awards, including eight Gaumee Film Awards and a Maldives Film Award. His career began with the successful comedy drama film “Qurbaani” (1999) and continued with critical and commercial hits like “Naaummeedhu” (2000), “Kalaayaanulaa” (2003), and “Vehey Vaarey Therein” (2003). Shafeeu’s performances garnered Gaumee Film Award nominations, and he defended his trophy in subsequent ceremonies. He holds records for winning the Best Actor award and has directed several films since 2009.
