Discovery
This story is told by academician S. Yuryshev, Director of the Institute of applied biochemistry. The events in it are developing in 20 years during the Civil war, when he sent a geologist searching for copper in the coal mines of the merchant Stasova, and in the 70s, when the head of the Institute. His thoughts and actions as if he reconciles his past, revolutionary romanticism 20-h his life's work was the discovery of a new chemical element. Chronos
Moscow, 2020. The media warn that a dangerous meteorite will soon sweep near the Earth at great speed. But the wealthy restaurateur Vadim does not care, so he does not change his plans and hurries to celebrate the purchase of a new establishment. On the way to the restaurant, Vadim calls his friend Nina to invite her to a banquet. But due to a time anomaly associated with a meteorite, another Nina, a thirteen-year-old girl who is dying of starvation in cold Moscow in 1942, picks up the phone on the other end.
The Territory
Victor Gromov, once a legend of Moscow’s criminal underworld known under the nickname “Butcher”, has since retired and now spends his days enjoying life on his farm.
