Angelos Raptis, perhaps the best general surgeon in Greece, is a recognized scientist in a happy marriage to lawyer Iro Anagnostopoulou, with whom they have a brilliant daughter, Melina. The countdown begins on the night of his birthday, on duty, when he is brought dead, from a car accident, his wife and daughter, who were helpless on the road for many hours.
