Ilias dresses himself in a police uniform as part of a complex burglary plot. Unfortunately for him, the impostor officer is called to assist in the investigation of a real crime. The other officers involved in this case treat him as a colleague, and he is forced to play along in hopes that his cover is not blown.
Laterna, Poverty and Carnation
Pavlaras and Petrakis have spent the money that Kaiti's father gave them two years ago and continue to travel around Athens with their lantern. However, Pavlaras is not well and needs to rest, as recommended by his doctor. Petrakis collects money from their friends, but it is not enough to cover their expenses. He is then forced to secretly sell the lantern without Pavlaras' knowledge.
The Trip
This film is a social comment of the times, exploring issues that centre around relationships and what was allowed and what was not allowed at the time (early 60s) in Greece. There are sub-plots also, mainly relating to the life of the poor city dwellers, social injustice and seeming double standards. Aliki Vougiouklaki is a poor young girl dreaming of a better life and the "handsome prince on a white stallion" who will deliver her from her miserable existence. She meets and falls in love with a young man (Nikos Kourkoulos) who also falls in love with her, but things are not as simple as they first seem. His past comes to haunt them with tragic consequences. Vassilis Diamantopoulos is excellent as the half-crazed old captain whose life strangely echoes that of young Aliki.

Lafina
Giorgis is the only son of the richest tseligas of a mountain village. Although he is considered a sought-after groom, he only has eyes for Droso, who reciprocates his feelings. Droso runs away from the village and takes refuge in the caves and cliffs, among the lads of the robber Zarvas, who helps to uncover Bournova's murderer. The murder has been committed by Maria, a noblewoman in love with Giorgis, who is subsequently arrested by the gendarmerie. Thus, Droso is now free to marry Giorgis.

Yangos Aggelis (Lambros Konstantaras), director of a factory, is the type of classical friend.
