When drivers flee the scene of car accidents, accident investigators are called in to examine the wrecks and use what clues they can find them down. Even a few scraps of plastic are enough for these aces to close the case, and give closure to the victims.

One in five accidents in the United States is caused by driver fatigue. All it takes to loose control is to fall asleep for one second. In this episode, the investigators are called to a four-car wreck where this very thing may have been responsible.

Details an accident in which a diabetic woman rear ends a car carrying a mother and daughter (Barbara and Brooke Shriver) causing them to slam into a truck.
