The show follows high-profile correspondents as they explore aspects of inequality related to their own biographies.

Oscar®-winning hip-hop artist Common returns to his hometown of Chicago to explore disparities in the criminal justice system; actress Rosario Dawson travels to Flint, Michigan, to uncover the man-made disaster behind the city’s water crisis; and legendary TV producer Norman Lear investigates gentrification in New York City, revealing a city of people with no homes and homes with no people.

Actress America Ferrera, whose parents and siblings are immigrants from Honduras, heads to Texas, the state with the longest border and home to 1.65 million undocumented immigrants. There she witnesses the difficulties facing Central American refugees living in the Rio Grande Valley where US Border Patrol checkpoints keep undocumented people hemmed-in and the American dream out of reach.
7. Democracy for Sale
Comedian Zach Galifianakis travels to his home state of North Carolina to explore how its been transformed by political spending into a bellwether for how the money of an elite few has come to dominate our democracy. While there, Galifianakis investigates allegations that the current government's policies benefit only its wealthy backers and the impact this has on the general public.

Golden Globe and Peabody Award-winning actress and producer Amy Poehler ventures into the world of the invisible women who help keep the California economy afloat: domestic workers. Poehler discovers that the economic issues transcend classes, affecting both employers and employees, in a situation where everyone works harder than they used to and are underpaid for their efforts.
