Paul Cassidy, a cop from Earth, is transported to another world by an evil scientist named Dr. Benign. But when he discovers a magical suit and talking gauntlets in an underground chamber, Paul transforms into a new hero: Apollo Gauntlet.

Prince Eros returns to the Kingdom of Bellenus and threatens to usurp Apollo Gauntlet's position as local hero, as well as his own brother Orenthal's claim to the royal throne.
