In the Far Woods, animals don't eat each other. This is strictly prohibited by the Vegetarian Law, which is enforced by the police, like the rest of the laws. Chief Badger is the head of the police. His adopted son, Badgercat, follows in his father's footsteps, even though he starts to think that dad is getting old and boring. Badgercat doesn't quite understand whether he is a badger or a cat, but he is young and eager for adventure.

Peace and order reign in the Far Woods: fangs and claws are strictly forbidden, as everyone must live in harmony. But this calm is shattered when a predator attacks Rabbit — an unknown wild animal devours its victim, blatantly breaking the vegetarian law. Two detectives take on the case: the wise and experienced Chief Badger and his energetic partner, Badgercat. Suspicion falls on Wolf, but the case turns out to be far more complicated than it first appears.

1. Episode 1

Detective Chief Badger finds a kitten in the Far Woods and decides to raise it. The grown-up Badgercat becomes a detective too.

2. Episode 2

The partners begin searching for the criminal who broke the law of the woods and ate Rabbit. The main suspect is Wolf.

3. Episode 3

At the Tree Knot tavern, Fox shares important information with Badgercat. Chief Badger meets unexpected guests in the Wolf's lair.

4. Episode 4

Chief Badger prepares to rescue Badgercat from a trap, but falls asleep at a crucial moment. Coyote Yote gives a confession.

5. Episode 5

Mouse the psychologist examines the traumas of the suspects. Chief Badger recalls his acquaintance with the little Yote.

6. Episode 6

Skunk the artist confirms Wolf's alibi. A tiny detail helps advance the investigation — Starling's feathers.

7. Episode 7

Badgercat arrests Skunk and rushes to celebrate solving the case. The lawyer owls escape from their cell during the commotion.

8. Episode 8

Badgercat is forced to stay at the station to listen to Starling’s memories. Chief Badger searches for the owls in Mrs. Rabbit’s house.

9. Episode 9

Badgercat tells the little rabbits the legend of how the inhabitants of the Far Woods caught the star disease. Fox’s confessions scare Mouse.

10. Episode 10

Badgercat and Chief Badger try to get out of a pit. The owls feel untouchable and declare themselves kings of the Far Woods.

11. Episode 11

The detectives find Mrs. Rabbit’s hideout — and can’t believe their eyes. The cunning criminal tries to play on Badgercat’s sympathy.

12. Episode 12

Chief Badger is preparing to retire. Mrs. Rabbit sees on TV that Fox is about to eat the little hare.
