Beauty and Mr. Romantic

Do Ra comes from a poor family, and they are always on the run as the creditors are chasing after them. On top of that, her mother, Mi Ja, is adamant about making her an actress to earn a living. One day, Do Ra runs into Dae Chung on her way home and falls in love at first sight.

Sun Young forces Dae Chung and Jung Mi to break up, and Dae Chung loses his temper. As the argument gets out of hand, Geum Ja blurts out the hurtful truth behind Dae Chung's birth in front of everyone. Meanwhile, Mi Ja tries stealing food from Dae Chung's family but gets caught by them.

Geum Ja witnesses Jun Sub with a woman on the street. She shares the news with Sun Young right away, but Sun Young doesn't believe her words and gets mad at her instead. Meanwhile, Do Ra calls Dae Chung for help, saying she ran into bullies again, so he runs to her to save her.

Director Jang asks Pil Seung to take his colleague's place and work on the new drama. The moment Pil Seung finds out that Do Ra is the main lead in the drama, Do Ra refuses to take the role to get some rest, and the main investor is about to drop out.

Out of spite, Do Ra plans to get back at Bi Bi by flirting with Bong Soo. Pil Seung sees Do Ra making her moves on Bong Soo and is disappointed. Then, out of the blue, Bi Bi comes to the filming set full of rage, and the set turns into chaos.

After telling Hyun Chul that she would help him get the money for the new business he wanted to start, Geum Ja puts on a grim face to meet with Mi Ja. Meanwhile, at the filming site, Pil Seung works his butt off catering to Do Ra and Bong Soo to maintain peace. But Do Ra mistakes his kindness and feels a strange attraction and excitement.

Pil Seung apologizes to Do Ra for talking behind her back, but she is not willing to forgive him. Furthermore, Myung Dong witnesses how Do Ra treats Pil Seung on set and is about to let the family know about it. Meanwhile, Jin Dan meets Mi Ja and asks her to set him up with Do Ra.

After Do Ra realizes Pil Seung is Dae Chung, her childhood crush, she makes up with him. Mi Ja is determined to marry Do Ra off to Jin Dan, so she sets them up for a date. However, Do Ra only feels uncomfortable around him. Meanwhile, Do Ra and Pil Seung travel to an island for the drama shoot.

After Dae Sook finds out about Soo Yeon's past, she asks Madam Cho to reveal the truth to Jin Taek as well. Do Ra and Pil Seung safely return home, but Do Ra can't stop thinking about Pil Seung, just like back when she was 12. Meanwhile, Ae Kyo is worried about Jin Dan as he is determined to marry Do Ra, so she meets her in person to end the relationship for him.

Do Ra confesses her feelings to Pil Seung and asks him out, but he turns her down on the spot. Even though Pil Seung made himself clear, Do Ra cannot accept his rejection. Meanwhile, Do Jun comes back to Korea and runs into Ma Ri on his way home.

Do Ra drags Pil Seung to go to an amusement park, just like back when she was 12 years old. Even though Pil Seung starts to fall for Do Ra as well, he denies his feelings towards her. Meanwhile, Jin Dan apologizes to Do Ra after he gets Angel Investment, and Ae Kyo looks into Soo Yeon's past for Dae Sook.

Sun Young runs into Mi Ja and finds out Geum Ja and Hyun Chul secretly got the money back from Mi Ja and used it for Hyun Chul's business. Meanwhile, Jin Dan causes a scene at the wrap party as he has a misunderstanding about Do Ra and Bong Soo. Furthermore, he takes his anger out on Mi Ja and threatens her to persuade Do Ra.

Mi Ja is infuriated as she witnesses Do Ra with Pil Seung instead of Jin Dan. She barges into Pil Seung's house and causes a scene, so Pil Seung's family also finds out about their relationship. Pil Seung feels awful to see Sun Young in pain, so he decides to end things with Do Ra for good.

Do Ra gets into Mi Ja's car without suspecting anything strange about the photo shoot on Ganghwa Island. But when she arrives, Do Ra is shocked when she sees an unexpected person waiting for her. Meanwhile, Mi Ja's dirty deeds that she kept secret and hidden burst and flood their world, drowning them.

Do Ra breaks up with Pil Seung and tells him she is getting engaged to Jin Dan. However, Do Ra calls off the engagement before the ceremony, and Jin Dan is humiliated once again. Mi Ja tries to persuade her before Jin Dan gets back at them, but Jin Dan makes the move right away.

Two years passed after Do Ra's death. Pil Seung becomes a director of his own show, and Jin Dan suffers from nightmares since then. Pil Seung travels out of town with his filming crew for his drama shoot and runs into a lady named Ji Young. Meanwhile, Mi Ja has been released from prison and plans to get back at Jin Dan for ruining her family.

Ji Young moves to the city to join Pil Seung's team at the broadcasting station but faces trouble finding a proper place to stay. Therefore, Pil Seung offers her and her grandmother a place to move in. Meanwhile, Ji Young reminds Pil Seung of Do Ra in many ways, and Ji Young remembers something about her past.

Pil Seung is confused after he sees Ji Young's tattoo on her ankle, which looks exactly like the one Do Ra had. He travels to her hometown to talk to her grandmother and finds out she had amnesia. Meanwhile, Ma Ri visits Sun Young's place to see Pil Seung again, and Do Jun realizes he used to live with them when he was young.
