Yeah.... it's not strategically the best, but then I think of Joseph Plum Martin and his journal from the American Revolution... and it wasn't the most strategic or accurate thing either.

In fact, most personal stories like that are neither strategic nor accurate, and that is because it's through the eyes of a single person.

So they leave out chunks of battles... well, yeah, no one was at every part of the battle. People were only at their part of the battle and that is what the stories focus on.

But I get the complaints. To actually do it right so people can learn something about history, you need to make an entire season based on one battle following different people. Otherwise it doesn't work well.
