Thành is a young aspiring actor. He struggles to make a decent livelihood with multiple jobs, yet enjoy a happy relationship with his long-time girlfriend Minh Anh, also a struggling dancer, and Coddy, a German Sheperd he saved from the slaughterhouse. One day, a close friend visits and offers to introduce Minh Anh to a prestigious dance company, while Thành receives his first lead role in a new film. The couple rejoices, and begins to dream of better days.
