Dark Horse
Under mysterious circumstances, 17-year-old Anna and her mother, Eva, move from China to a small Danish provincial town. Until now, Anna has lived a rootless life with her mother, who, in pursuit of new experiences with different men, has left a trail of failed relationships around the world. Over the years, the two have built a dysfunctional symbiosis where Eva's dominant behavior has turned Anna into a pleaser towards her mother.

Under mysterious circumstances, 17-year-old Anna and her mother, Eva, move from Shanghai back to Eva's hometown. They take up temporary residence with Eva's brother, Christian, and his two children, with no explanation as to why they suddenly left China. Anna feels lonely in her new surroundings until she meets the charming Carl. She is given the opportunity to become part of his inner circle, but how far is she willing to go for it?
2. Episode 2
Anna is invited to a concert with Carl, Paloma and Eddie. But with the invitation comes a clear expectation. With ulterior motives, Anna takes over Olivia's job as a veterinary assistant while Eva tries to manage their critical financial situation. She organizes a dinner for her old friends in the hope that they will invest in her coal business - and she expects Anna to help her make it happen.
3. Episode 3
In the midst of her high, Anna experiences the ultimate humiliation when Eva shows up at the party. Andreas threatens Carl, who seeks Anna out for help. But does she dare risk everything for Carl? Meanwhile, Eva charms entrepreneur Johan into investing in her company. However, she needs Christian's help to succeed.
4. Episode 4
Anna and Carl head into town to meet one of Andreas' contacts, but things don't go according to plan. The chemistry between Anna and Carl blossoms as the night becomes wilder and more dangerous than Anna had imagined. Eva's plans for the future begin to crumble and as the situation between her and Christian escalates, she makes a drastic decision.
