Digimon Beatbreak
Tomoro Tenma lives in a world where human thoughts and emotions, known as e-Pulse, power AI devices called Sapotama. But when Digimon begin materializing from Sapotama and feeding on e-Pulse, society begins to fracture. After Gekkomon appears from his device, Tomoro joins Glowing Dawn, a secret team investigating rogue Digimon and the dark truth of a system both fueled and corrupted by emotion.

1. The Beat of Emotions
An ideal society managed by Sapotamas. Underneath, terrifying creatures called Digimon appear. After a classmate is attacked, Tomoro Tenma's emotions explode. Suddenly his Sapotama shines and Gekkomon is born.

2. Glowing Dawn
Gekkomon is awakened by Tomoro's anger and overwhelms his enemy. Just then, a mysterious Digimon steals their Sapotama. With his brother lost, Tomoro shuts down emotionally, until he is shocked by what the leader of the "Glowing Dawn" has to say.

3. Facing Mirrors
Upon learning that the bounty intel is wrong, Tomoro and Gekkomon follow the scent of his own e-Pulse. There they find the Mirror World, a virtual space inside the net. Inside the Sapotama that glows within Hyemon…

4. Family
Reina is in high spirits after being handed leadership for the next job by Kyo. But, because of Tomoro's mistake, the Machmon bounty escapes. Rookie member Tomoro can't understand Reina's obsession with the Glowing Dawn being a family.

5. Half and Half
Tomoro wanders into an old shopping district where he witnesses the Panda-gumi protecting the town from thugs. Their leader Sasatake and Pandamon have a bond of father and child. Meanwhile, Yuukari of the Koala-kai prepares to evict the residents.

6. The Bond of Parent and Child
Pandamon is furious that Yuukari has hurt the boss but is conflicted between their feelings and teachings about chivalry. Tomoro wants to challenge Astamon in battle. Meanwhile, Kyo investigates the identity of the mastermind.

7. Nirinso
Tomoro and the others find hikers who’ve nearly fallen victim to Cold Heart. They are saved by an exhausted Kyo and Murasamemon. Deep in the mountain is an old observatory that holds Kyo’s secret.

8. The Vanishing Classroom
Hitomi takes Tomoro to school to investigate a series of student disappearances. Only the top students are going missing. Gekkomon struggles to rescue Tomoro when he's trapped inside Mimicmon.

9. Utopia
Going after a bounty, the Glowing Dawn infiltrate Shangri-La Egg, a utopia created after a massive disaster. There, other Cleaners who are also after Goldnumemon appear in front of Tomoro and the others...

10. A True Friend
Chiropmon is taken from Makoto by Haruko, who sees Digimon as toys. Kyo tries to interrupt the buyer’s transaction, while Makoto feels troubled because his own weakness caused Chiropmon to suffer.

11. A Black Emotion
While out buying a birthday present for Asuka, Tomoro gets into a fight with Gekkomon over picking a scarf. Separated from Tomoro, the sulking Gekkomon encounters a Digimon who emits poisonous gas.

12. A New Family
Tomoro regrets that Kyo and Gekkomon got hurt because of him and faces his job as a Cleaner once more. Meanwhile, a Digimon with an abnormal e-Pulse heads towards the Glowing Dawn’s headquarters.

13. Five Star Meeting
The Five Stars, who stand at the top of the Cleaner world, gather for a meeting. The topic is the increase in Cold Heart incidents and emerging disaster-class Digimon. Meanwhile, Tomoro and the others encounter a strange trio at a crime site.

14. Tactics
The Tactics are Cleaner teams that undergo rigorous training to perfect e-Pulse control. The Glowing Dawn members face off against them over a bounty, but Tomoro can't accept their methods.

15. Little Courage
The Kinoko Gang, holding a grudge, sneak into Nirinso while Kyo is away, aiming to destroy the Glowing Dawn. Redvegimon paralyzes Gekkomon and the others, while the In-Training Digimon can only watch…

16. Where I Belong
Granit’s interference causes Reina to let her target escape, and they are both taken to a cold, snowy mountain by Moosemon. While they look for clues to go back, Granit recalls the birth of Ludomon.

Some non-native characters had important roles: the restaurant/motel owner, the band manager, the nurse and the town's main RCMP officer. The show explored themes of Native poverty, alcoholism, cultural preservation and conflict over land settlements and natural resource exploitation. Originally somewhat light-hearted, it quickly became a more dramatic and ponderous series.
