Divorce Chaser
Hakamada Yukio is a competent, mysterious lawyer who only handles settlement cases because of past experiences. Although his scathing words get on clients’ nerves, his primary consideration is their welfare. His philosophy that “love is something that can never be bought with money. But if a client is able to have genuine resolve, I’ll certainly get the compensation and give the push for a fresh start” is the basis for the problems that he solves one after another.

One half of the famous Japanese comedic duo – Cocorico – Naoki Tanaka plays our off-beat protagonist who is a masterfully talented lawyer, full of mystique and mystery. His whole business is predicated on the opportunity costs between men and women’s unfortunate relationships. His intention is never focused on using money to buy back their once lost love, but more from helping them achieve a fresh start on life and love. However the intertwined, complex relationships will test our talented lawyer as he litigates through these trouble and perhaps troubles of his own…

The case of Kurasawa Kanae (Housewife), who is a homemaker aspiring to become a manga illustrator. Her husband is in charge of finances; he forces her to make do with an oppressively low allowance. In the shadows he refers to her as “the dumb woman,” and from day to day she is forced to endure cold verbal abuse. And then, Kanae’s husbands illicit affair is brought to light ...
2. Strikes back! W affair trail of cheating housewife
A beautiful homemaker Kodera Kiyomi is vexed by her cheating husband. While she is out gathering evidence of her husband’s affair, she comes to the realization of double-adultery. As a woman, she cannot bring herself to forgive Togawa Yuko who has a happy family of her own. Due to Hakamada’s legal counsel, she decides to sue Yuko for compensation, even while Yuko denies the illicit affair.
3. Middle aged divorce...bitter resentment of long-standing housewife
Saionji Fumiko (Housewife) had already decided to divorce her senior citizen husband, one year ago; she had to endure his moral harassment for decades. She has been saving up money from teaching flower-arrangement class, and has enough for the separation, to go live on her own. Her husband is a university professor, and his illicit affair with one of his students gets exposed.

Ichikawa Tomohiro has reached a breaking point in his marriage to a monster wife, and comes to the Law Office of Hakamada for legal counsel. Most of his salary vanishes in expenditures of his wife’s purchases of expensive brand-name items and extravagant spas. In the meantime, he endures her domestic violence and moral harassment.
5. Crisis of Hakamada law firm!?
Work doesn’t come around much at the Law Office of Hakamada, but suddenly there’s a crowd lined up to see him. At the end of Nonomura Kanae’s syndicated manga, the landlord Toyama Yoshie had taken initiative to place an ad.
6. Request to settle parent-child feud
Hakamada Yukio wins compensation lawsuits for his clients, so they can start their lives over. But who is his client this episode, but his own long-lost father? According to Yukio’s half-sister Suwa Natsuki, their 72-year old father Suwa Kozo is married for the third time to a woman 45 years younger than him.
7. 40 year old single woman sneaks into unscrupulous marriage agency, watch out!
The matchmaking company GET MARRIAGE has a list of people who are most unlikely to get married; they have a scam going of obstructing those members to keep squeezing membership fees from them. Yukawa Natsuko, the chief editor of a restauranteur magazine, is getting suspicious that they can't find her a marriage match, no matter how many dates they set her up with.

Compensation lawyer Hakamada Yukio becomes friends with little kids? And who is the client this time but their father, Sakagami Takeshi? He was laid off a year ago and has been a stay-at-home dad, but in the meantime his career-wife Izumi has stuck him with a divorce notice.
