1. Season 1, Episode 1
Tijdens een stormachtige nacht zijn er rond Vlieland veel schepen in nood geraakt. De helikopters van de SAR (Search and rescue) hebben het er druk mee. Een schip verliest zijn lading tropisch hardhout, die op het strand van Vlieland aanspoelt. Dat wakkert de Vlielandse koorts aan: het jutten. Zelfs de kerkdienst wordt ervoor onderbroken. Wanneer er dan een noodlottig ongeval plaats vindt in de duinen, is er geen helikopter meer beschikbaar om het slachtoffer naar het vasteland te vervoeren. Dokter Deen moet met alle beperkte middelen die haar te beschikking staan het slachtoffer, een goede bekende van de familie, in leven houden.
2. Afscheid
Mevrouw Nools, een van de oudste gasten van het eiland en goede vriendin van dokter Deen, brengt een onverwacht bezoek aan Vlieland. Mevrouw Nools is de vrouw die Maria Deen aan haar adoptieouders heeft geholpen. Nu keert ze terug met een verzoek, dat Maria in grote verlegenheid brengt. Aan de ene kant wil zij haar weldoenster helpen, aan de andere kant worstelt ze met haar geweten als arts. Bovendien staan haar persoonlijke gevoelens van genegenheid voor mevrouw Nools haar in de weg. Bij gebrek aan een dierenarts wordt Maria weggeroepen om een veulen te halen.
3. Jan Barendtz
Een dronken dorpsgenoot zorgt voor problemen met een mogelijk fatale afloop Maria Deen weet wat de oorzaak is van zijn drankzucht. Isa kampt met het onbegrijpelijke gedrag van haar nieuwe vriend Paul. Robbert leert Wendy kitesurfen, en komt daarbij in een hachelijke situatie terecht. Ondertussen kan Maria maar geen goede afspraak maken met Oscar.
4. De weddenschap
Maria wordt het slachtoffer van een actie die eigenlijk tegen Oscar is gericht De actie brengt Maria in een gevaarlijke situatie. Robbert gaat weddenschap na weddenschap aan met kleine Teun om zijn financiële noden te lenigen, maar raakt van de regen in de drup. Mama Deen is een beetje in de war, maar blijkt de redder in de nood.
5. Over de rug van dokter Deen
In het dorp wordt een braderie gehouden, het wordt een braderie die menigeen zal heugen. Maria loopt een blessure op, die haar tijdelijk uitschakelt. Haar assistent Fedde heeft een overvolle wachtkamer maar moet alles in zijn eentje opknappen. Op militair oefenterrein wordt de rode vlag gestreken, hetgeen Robbert met zijn gevolg in groot gevaar brengt.

Flikken
Flikken was a popular Flemish-Belgian TV series about a police-department located in Ghent. The show started in 1999 and ended recently on 19 April 2009. In the series, a team of six police officers solved various crimes, petty crimes as well as organised crime. The series always aimed at showing the policework in a realistic way - though a little personal drama was never far off. Of all the actors that came along during the ten seasons, only Mark Tijsmans and Ludo Hellinx appeared throughout the entire series. Flikken was produced by the VRT and broadcast on Belgian public channel Eén and TROS in the Netherlands. Flikken is very popular in Belgium and the Netherlands. The show has had very high ratings of up to 1.8 million viewers during the last season. Every year the VRT organises the Flikkendag, a family day where the public can meet the actors of the show. There are many games, demonstrations of the real police and other safety organisations and performances of singers. On 18 April 2009, a special farewell party was organised in Ghent, in which the actors and crew said goodbye to their fans - thousands had assembled to watch the show on stage.
