When Warren and Tricia bought a recently remodeled house in the perfect neighbourhood, they dreamed of hosting large family holiday gatherings. But soon after moving in, the reality of living in a small house with a tight layout and tiny kitchen set in, and their party plans were put on hold. Now with a three-year-old and a newborn, they need space and function more than ever, so they enlist Drew and Jonathan to take on a major renovation. But as the walls come down, remnants of previous bad renovations surface: illegal electrical, water damage and mold - and Warren and Tricia are forced to make some tough design compromises to stay on budget.
2. Canine Conundrum
Johnny and Jacqui's dated and dysfunctional kitchen would be a problem for most families, but with a seven-year-old-son and five rescue dogs in their house, mealtimes have become chaotic and stressful. They can't move because they live close to a fantastic park for the dogs and they don't want to disrupt their son's schooling. Desperate for a solution to create a more functional space for their unique family, they enlist Drew and Jonathan to help solve their canine conundrum.

But they have big dreams and keep asking for extras, so when problems surface in the renovation, Drew and Jonathan are forced to walk a fine line of trying to give them everything they want while keeping the budget from skyrocketing.

Krystal and Ben move back to their childhood neighborhood with the goal of giving their five-year-old daughter the chance to grow up around her extended family, many of whom live close by.
5. Fit and Function
Jessica and Jeff buy a house in the location of their dreams, close to good schools for their two kids. However, it needs a full gut and remodel before they can even think about moving in.es.

Drew and Jonathan feel the heat as they try to deliver on Bahar and Mathieu's wishes of updating their home and preserving its character, all while sticking to a strict budget.

Herme and Angie both work from home and living in a house that wasn't built with separated work spaces is taking its toll; Drew and Jonathan try to reconfigure the home's layout into a live-work space, while staying on budget.
10. Water Damage
To move into their dream neighborhood, Chanel and Jeff buy a house that no one wants. However, the discovery of water damage threatens to derail the duo's house renovation.
11. Making It All Fit
Stephanie and Mike's marriage blended their families, uniting his kids Dylan and Kayla with her twins Sofia and Sienna, but their home does not have enough room for everyone.

But the Spanish-style ranch isn't winning them over, and mounting delays have them shuffling between guest spaces. Though they're too sweet to complain, it's clear they're overdue for a home of their own. With the main house's timeline doubled and stalled, the brothers are racing to finish the ADU. It's a desperate bid to provide a settled space for their parents and alleviate their growing guilt.

Drew and Jonathan face a tough challenge with the L.A. house they bought for their parents, Jim and Joanne; nearly a year in, guilt and anxiety riddle them because project delays stretch on.
