A resentful widow is saddled with her dead husband’s illegitimate son who claims that her husband’s ghost communicates with him.

A faithless, cynical alcoholic is forced to confront his guilt at losing his daughter when he is sucked into a cult-like world where a ten-year-old prophetess promises to heal his woes.
