Following Shackleton's example, Ben and Dwayne embark on a daunting ice mountain challenge to try to reach the barren Polar Plateau, as temperatures sink to a mind-numbing -40C.

3. Terra Nova Expedition 1910-1913
Ben and Dwayne follow Scott's next attempt to claim the pole. Scott's dream is shattered when Norwegian Roald Amundsen beats him, and his team face the gruelling attempt to return home.
