Fallen Angel
Fallen Angel is a Mandarin Chinese episodic drama produced jointly by Singaporean broadcaster MediaCorp TV and Malaysian broadcaster Media Prima Berhad. It was telecasted on Singapore's free-to-air channel, MediaCorp Channel 8. It made its debut on 6 July 2007 and ended on 30 August 2007. This drama serial consists of 25 episodes, and was screened on every weekend night at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. It was the first joint production between the two companies, and is a remake of Television Corporation of Singapore drama Wings Of Desire.
Seasons
In Fallen Angel, 2 hostesses with a sad past lead 2 very different lives. Yong Yi, who chose to forget her past, is happy and carefree. Kai Qing, on the other hand, keeps her sad memories close to her heart and is revengeful and bitter. Yong Yi and Xuewen are childhood friends who grew up together. Xuewen has secretly been in love with Yong Yi since they were kids, and has always stayed by her side to watch over her. Yong Yi’s parents run a fruit stall at the market. Her father Hu Gang and mother Mei Feng are widely known as a kind-hearted couple who are always willing to lend a helping hand.
1. Episode 1
Yongyi and Xuewen are childhood friends. Xuewen has been secretly in love with Yongyi since they were kids. During a chance encounter, Kaiqing, a rich girl, makes the acquaintance of Yongyi and Xuewen.
2. Episode 2
One day, Yongyi and Xuewen bump into Kaiqing and her cousin, Ye Ziyang, at a high class restaurant. The two couples become friends soon after.
3. Episode 3
After learning that Yongyi also has a scar on her shoulder, Kaiqing feels a strange affinity with her. In the meantime, Kaiqing recalls her unpleasant childhood when she witnessed a violent father whipping a young child.
4. Episode 4
Kaiyuan, Kaiqing’s cousin, declares that Qiuyue, Ziyang’s mother, played a part in the death of Kaiqing’s parents. However, Kaiqing does not believe Kaiyuan’s words.
5. Episode 5
Zhang Dazhong meets Yongyi and Xuewen at the neighbourhood garden. Yongyi even invites Dazhong to take dessert with the elders. Meanwhile, Ziyang and Kaiqing have different points of views at work. Their relationship sours.
6. Episode 6
Ziyang asks for Dazhong and Qiuyue’s permission to leave Zhang Holdings. He plans to run a mini restaurant on his own. However, Kaiqing insists on becoming Ziyang’s partner.
7. Episode 7
Although Yongyi clearly states that she has no feelings for Xuewen,the latter still harbours hope in his heart. On the other hand, Ziyang and Kaiyang are estranged. Luckily, Yongyi becomes the peacemaker and help them restore good relations.
8. Episode 8
After learning that Ziyang’s hand phone was dropped into Yongyi’s handbag accidentally, Kaiqing personally goes to the fruit shop and gets it back. She also warns Yongyi not to disrupt her relationship with Ziyang. Yongyi is shocked.
9. Episode 9
Ziyang eventually expresses his love to Yongyi. Yongyi is frustrated. After that, Yongyi gets dead drunk and is knocked down by a car. She faints on the spot.
10. Episode 10
Yongyi falls into a coma for one day. Ziyang expresses his love to her once again. Yongyi finally accepts Ziyang and is willing to face all the difficulties with him in future.
11. Episode 11
Dazhong is shocked when he learns that Yongyi is in fact his granddaughter. One day, Meifeng, Yongyi’s mother, is seriously injured by the robber. She is sent to the hospital soon after.
12. Episode 12
Meifeng asks Yongyi to acknowledge her grandfather before she dies. She also wants Yongyi to have good relation with Kaiqing. Yongyi has no choice but to obey her mother’s last wish.
13. Episode 13
Yongyi decides to acknowledge her grandfather, but refuses to join the clan. However, she agrees to work at Zhang Holdings as a junior staff.
14. Episode 14
Qiuyue suffers an asthma attack in the evening after almost all the staff except Yongyi had left the office. Yongyi urgently sends Qiuyue to the hospital and saves her life. Quiyue gradually begins to accept Yongyi.
15. Episode 15
Qiuyue forces Ziyang to marry Kaiqing as she cannot endure Kaiqing torturing herself. On the other hand, Yongyi decides to give up Ziyang for Kaiqing. Ziyang is at a loss.
16. Episode 16
Yongyi resigns from Zhang Holdings as she learns that Kaiqing does not want to see her in the office. One night, Kaiyuan’s friend Erice tries to take advantage of Kaiqing. Luckily, she is saved by Yongyi. They restore their relations.
17. Episode 17
Da Zhong suffers from lung cancer, but he refuses to undergo operation. Qiuyue sends an e-mail to Ziyang and asks him come back as soon as possible.
18. Episode 18
Ziyang returns to Kuala Lumpur after he learns that Da Zhong is seriously sick. In the meantime, he is very upset when he sees that Yongyi and Xuewen have become a couple.
19. Episode 19
Xuewen bravely proposes to Yongyi. Yongyi eventually gives her consent as she wants Ziyang to return to Kaiqing. Xuewen is overjoyed.
20. Episode 20
Ziyang expresses his love to Yongyi once again when he gets dead drunk. Xuewen accidentally sees Yongyi hold Ziyang tight the car and misunderstands that Yongyi still loves Ziyang.
21. Episode 21
Kaiyuan sends a hired gun to kill Yongyi but Hu Gang is murdered instead. Yongyi attempts suicide after her foster father has been killed. Luckily, Ziyang stops her at the critical moment.
22. Episode 22
Kaiqing lies that she is pregnant with Ziyang’s child. Ziyang has no choice but to agree to marry Kaiqing. However, Ziyang is very disappointed when he learns the truth.
23. Episode 23
Da Zhong dies of lung cancer at the hospital. However, both Kaiyuan and Kaiqing get dead drunk and miss Qiuyue’s calls. They have not given their last respect to Da Zhong.
24. Episode 24
On the day of Yongyi and Xuewen’s wedding, Kaiyuan tries to kill Yongyi after being instigated by Kaiqing. Xuewen is severely injured when he saves Yongyi from harm. He dies from his injuries.
25. Episode 25
Yongyi is grief-stricken. On the other hand, Ziyang finds out that Kaiyuan has been manipulated by Kaiqing to carry out the deed. Ziyang is furious and has a bitter quarrel with Kaiqing at a deserted house…..
