Floris
A Dutch television series about an exiled knight and his Indian friend. Together they try to get his birthright papers back from an evil Lord. During their quest, they get help from a nobleman who offers them a place in his castle. Written by Gerard Soeteman starring Rutger Hauer and Jos Bergman and directed by Paul Verhoeven.
Seasons
1. The Stolen Castle
Floris van Rosemondt keert na jarenlang reizen terug naar huis om zijn erfenis, een kasteel, op te eisen. Gelre heeft dit echter in gebruik als tolhuis en Maarten van Rossum laat Floris en zijn reisgenoot Sindala opsluiten onder het mom van spionage voor ene Wolter van Oldenstein. Die staat spoedig echter zelf voor de deur om hen te redden.
2. The Copper Hound
Oldenstein wordt belegerd door Van Rossum, die het enorme kanon de Koperen Hond laat aanrukken. Floris en Sindala, die buiten het kasteel zijn, moeten het zien te saboteren.
3. The Black Balls
Bij een overval op een wapentransport blijkt er een verrader op Oldenstein te zijn. De vraag is wie? Maar Sindala is niet voor één gat te vangen en heeft een plan.
4. The Man from Ghent
Een Gentenaar, genaamd Gwijde van Suikerbuik, komt langs Oldenstein met het bericht dat Van Rossum van plan is Oudewater aan te vallen, waarop heer Wolter hulp stuurt. Dan blijkt Lange Pier op komst om de kapel te plunderen, waarop Wolter en Floris met de laatste soldaten uitrukken. Sindala blijft achter met Suikerbuik. Maar gaat Lange Pier wel naar de kapel, of is hij iets anders van plan?
5. The Hairy Devil
Als Filips de Schone een groots schilderij gekocht heeft van Jeroen Bosch zet Karel van Gelre zijn zinnen op dit schilderij. Lange Pier probeert het schilderij te bemachtigen, ondanks dat hij als de dood blijkt voor alle duiveltjes op het schilderij.
6. The Safe Conduct
Floris en Sindala mogen met een vrijbrief een Gelderse stad binnen om enkele zaken te doen. Langzaam maar zeker begint Sindala echter onraad te ruiken. Wat voor list van Gelre steekt hier achter?
7. The Three Jesters
Floris en Sindala moeten snel een brief naar Utrecht brengen, maar deze moet eerst door opperbevelhebber Reinbout gezegeld worden. Aangekomen in Reinbouts kasteel blijkt het echter door Van Rossum geplunderd te zijn, waarna iedereen is meegevoerd behalve de nar. Samen met de nar gaan ze over tot een plan om Reinbout te bevrijden. De Gelderse kapitein Barend van Hackfort blijkt echter ook op de loer te liggen.
8. The Mandrake
Vanwege heer Wolters verjaardag wordt een groot feestmaal georganiseerd. Als Van Hackfort er echter in slaagt om in de keukens binnen te dringen en iets door de soep roert raakt het complete kasteel verdoofd. Behalve Floris en Sindala die snel een tegengif moeten vinden.
9. The Burning Water
Na de dood van haar oom heeft gravin Ada van Couwenberg een belangrijk testament in handen gekregen. Karel van Gelre zet echter ook zijn zinnen op dit testament, waarop Lange Pier de gravin gevangen neemt. Gelukkig zijn Floris en Sindala net in de buurt.
10. The Miracle Worker
De kwakzalver Veltman weet de hele stad handig in te palmen met zogenaamde wonderdrankjes. Dan zet Van Rossum hem onder druk om de bevolking op te zetten tegen Oldenstein. Veltman heeft nog een appeltje te schillen met Sindala en gaat dus met plezier op deze voorstellen in.
11. The Byzantine Cup I: The Tournament
In een Gelders kasteel ligt jonkvrouw Isabella op sterven. Haar minnaars Govert en Roland proberen haar te genezen om haar hand te krijgen. Als ze horen van een toernooi op Oldenstein waar een wonderbeker te winnen valt proberen ze allebei die beker in handen te krijgen, al doet Govert dit niet bepaald op een eerlijke manier.
12. The Byzantine Cup II: The Healing
Als Roland het toernooi wint overvalt Govert hem en neemt hem de beker af. Floris en Sindala vinden Roland en besluiten hem te helpen. De poging om Isabella uit Goverts klauwen te redden loopt echter mis. Heeft hun laatste uur geslagen?
