Gary Sparrow is an unhappily married TV repairman, who one day unwittingly walks into a time warp. Totally disorientated, he thinks he's in a 1940s theme pub, until he falls in love with the landlord's daughter.

2. Fools Rush In
Gary, after refusing to buy a new suit for a job interview in 1993, buys one to take Phoebe to a dance in 1940.

3. Is Your Journey Really Necessary?
Gary returns to 1940 to try to protect Phoebe and Eric from an impending air raid, but nearly ends up in prison.

4. The More I See You
Ron agrees to print identity papers for Gary's trips to 1940 - but at a price. Phoebe worries about her future living arrangements now that she's intent on leaving the pub.

5. I Get Along Without You Very Well
Yvonne gets to spend more time with Gary due to him giving up his 1940s obsession, but he is quickly propelled back into things upon discovering that he may be married to Phoebe.

6. In the Mood
Yvonne gives Gary an ultimatum about his wartime obsession, as he decides whether to return to 1940, or back home to 1995. Ron makes him an offer that he can't refuse.
