The Jackson 5ive

The Jackson 5ive was a Saturday morning cartoon series produced by Rankin/Bass and Motown Productions on ABC from September 11, 1971 until 14 October 1972; a fictionalized portrayal of the careers of Motown recording group The Jackson 5. The series was rebroadcast in syndication through Worldvision Enterprises during the 1984–1985 Saturday morning season, during a period when Michael Jackson was riding a major wave of popularity as a solo artist. The series was animated mainly in London at the studios of Halas and Batchelor, and some animation done at Estudios Moro, Barcelona, Spain. The director was Spanish-American Robert Balser.

Overland

Overland or Overland World Truck Expedition is a documentary series of expeditions promoted and organized by Beppe Tenti. The documentaries are broadcast from 1996 on RAI 1, for a total of more than 150 episodes. From the thirteenth season Overland is also broadcast in high definition on RAI HD. The centerpiece of these expeditions is the re-discovery of the journey by land, combined with the aim of obtaining a snapshot of the planet and its culture in the late 20th century and early 21st century.

This is the story of Wang Takian village, where a beautiful woman called Praethong once eloped with her lover Muen Khiri, after being forced to marry Phloeng. However, they were chased and caught by Praethong, who in his rage killed Meun Khiri. Having witnessed the death of her lover, Praethong committed suicide. The two dead lovers were buried together under a Takian tree. Hundreds of years passed, however, Praethong could not enter the rebirth cycle due to committing suicide. Instead, she became the mother of Wangtakhian, an entity revered by the villagers. All she could do now was wait to meet her lover Muen Khiri again.

Degrassi High

Degrassi High is the third television show in the Degrassi series of teen dramas about the lives of a group of teenagers living on or near De Grassi Street in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It first aired from 1989 to 1991 and followed the young people from The Kids of Degrassi Street and Degrassi Junior High through high school. The show was filmed in downtown Toronto and at Centennial College. Much like its predecessor, Degrassi High dealt with controversial issues ranging from AIDS, abortion, abuse, alcoholism, cheating, sex, death and suicide, dating, depression, bullying, gay rights, homophobia, racism, the environment, drugs, and eating disorders. The show's impact on Canadian identity is discussed in the September 2007 issue of u're Magazine.
