Heathcliff is an animated TV series that debuted on October 4, 1980. It was the first series based on the Heathcliff comic strip and was produced by Ruby-Spears Productions. It ran until September 18, 1982 with a total of 25 episodes, under two different names.

In order to gain the leadership of the neighborhood's position, Spike frames Heathcliff of stealing fish from a local fish mart.

The Dogcatcher performs many attempts to catch Heathcliff. None of them is successful.

After the the Pussycats get injured, The Creeps fill in for their team and help The Pussycats go against a heavy-set football team called the Bruisers.

4. Lumbering Loonies
Dingbat and the Creeps get hired as wood cutters.

5. The Watch Cat
The Purple Think Burgler attempts to break into the Nutmeg's house, but Heathcliff stops him.

6. Pumping Irony
Heathcliff does his best to enter a cat show, after his feline girlfriend, Jodi calls up their date.

7. It's a Snow Job for a Creep
Dingbat and the Creeps get a job in Snowy Alphs, but the bad guys, Louie and his friend sabotage them.

8. Nutty Knights
Dingbat and the Creeps are sent back to 1333 by a time machine and there are exhorted by the king to rescue his daughter from Sir Grimace-A-Lot the evil knight.

9. The Great Cop 'n Cat Chase
Heathcliff has stolen a hotdog from Officer Casey, thus the Police Officer tries to track down the feline offender.

10. Milk Run Mayhem
Heathcliff competes for milk with a Milkman, who must deliver a bottle of milk to his boss' house or he shall lose his job.

11. Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow
Dingbat tries to claim his inheritance from his great uncle, Barren Von Batt, but Dingbat's evil cousin Wombat also wants that inheritance to claim for himself. The competitors must stay in a castle overnight.

12. U.F. Oafs
Dingbat and the Creeps are abducted aboard the alien ship by a alien named Rishan, who needs to examine the Earthlings.

13. Mascot Rumble
Heathcliff is watching on TV football footage from today's match, where Heathcliff was the mascot of the "Detroit Tabbys" while Spike represents as the mascot of the rival team "Brooklyn Bulldogs".

14. Heathcliff of Sherwood Forest
Heathcliff is Robin Hood - the most wanted noble brigand, who saves Sonja and the good people of Sherwood from the local taxpayer, Grubs the Dogcatcher.

15. Safari Saps
The Creeps take the job to receive a rare pygmy elephant for the safari explorer.

16. Prized Pooch
A person named Bowser searches for a rare dog breed to win a contest. He stumbles upon Dingbat and captures him to his dog pound, thus Sparerib and Nobody try to break their friend out.

17. Angling Anglers
At the Fish Mart, Mr. Schultz is having to conversation with someone in the phone for them to deliver fish, but they are not able to, Mr. Schultz runs out of fish quickly due a certain cat that can eat faster than they could deliver, Mr. Schultz hangs up the phone and decides to close the shop and go fishing to replenish the fish in his store.

18. Cake Flakes
After Mrs. Nutmeg takes Heathcliff to the bakery, the feline protagonists craves on eating a cake.

19. Health Nuts
Dingbat and the creeps get hired as fitness trainers. Their first task is to help an obese lady to lose weight, but it ends up as a failure.

20. Retail Ruckus
The Creeps work at the Department Store. As usual, the work doesn't go without complications...

21. The Mouse Trapper
Heathcliff is playing with a mouse around the house, until the mouse exterminator comes to clear the area from the mice. Heathcliff tries to foil his plans.

Heathcliff rivals his love for Sonja to an escaped mountain lion.

Dingbat, Sparerib, and Nobody become window washers. They are given the task of cleaning a building until the end of the day to receive their pay.

The dogcatcher recounts twenty years ago of the same day he was deserted in a island: The dogcatcher makes Heathcliff his slave to do the work.

Heathcliff and the two sanitation men duel for the stolen Stiffany's diamond, which they try to receive it back for the jewelry store to earn a reward, with a diamond thief trying to steal it back.

Dingbat and the Creeps are hired as chefs at a French restaurant. They don't prove themselves as top-notch cooks, however.
